A hybrid solution contains the following component and is different from a pure grid-tie solution as there is a battery and/or generator present.

Grid-tie

A grid-tie solution typically contains the components listed below. It is mainly focused on daytime savings. If however you lose grid power and do not have a generator backup included you will not get PV generation leaving you without power.
